Feminists without a clue

So, after exentensive media manipulation, Gudrun Schyman's new party, the Feminist Initiative has finally arrived.

There has even been a rather questionable poll, with a question along the lines of "Would you vote for the Feminist Party or would you vote for something else?"
According to this poll they would gain a fair number of seats, maybe 7%, if the election were to be held today.

The new party, or Ms Shyman anyway, has decided that Sweden needs a new feminist party, since the feminism of the Left, Green, Social Democratic, Center, and Liberal Parties isn't pure enough. Well she may have a point, but unfortunatly she hasn´t got any policies.

The feminist initiative is all for feminism, but what that means they're not going to reveal just yet. They say the new members they're bound to get will help them decide on all that later. So the small group of slightly radical academic lefties doesn't want do decide upon everything yet. Good thinking. Even the tricky Swedish core feminst issue of what rules we should have for the division of paternity/maternity leave is left unanswered. Very good thinking. All questions of actual policy is shrugged of, except for one small thing. The EU.

The Feminist Party Platform so far seems to contain only three points:
  1. We are in favour of women.
  2. We are not against men, not much anyway.
  3. We are also opposed to leaving the EU. Prime Minister Persson really wouldn´t like that.
Well, I suppose one should welcome the new party. They're welcome. And I suppose they'll decide against the Constitution in their own good time.

Actually, Gudrun Schyman is already campaigning against it. It seems to be her usual stuff about the male EU-structure, patriarcal EU-army and all that jazz. So the EU is bad for democracy, and the EU is bad for women, and the Constitution will make everything worse. But still, she will no longer contemplate leaving the EU. She won't even let her members decide.

Prime Minister Persson really wouldn´t like that.
